Health Matters – Upholstery Adhesive Standard

We are currently transitioning to using adhesives that are not only environmentally friendly but also safe for our customers and their loved ones.

By mid-September 2025, all of our adhesives will be replaced with options that have ultra-low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).

These high-performance, environmentally friendly adhesives are manufactured using the latest international eco-friendly formulas and advanced processing technologies. They utilize a new polymer material that allows for uniform application, rapid curing and evaporation, strong adhesion, and minimal odor. This significantly improves application efficiency and reduces production costs while ensuring high-quality bonding. No heavy metals, formaldehyde, benzene compounds, or other hazardous substances are included in the production process.

The product complies with standards aligned with GB19340-2003 and poses no risk to human health.

Heavy Metal

Heavy metal poisoning can be very harmful and potentially life-threatening, causing a range of severe health problems. Exposure can lead to organ damage, neurological issues, and even cancer, with the severity depending on the metal, the amount, and the individual’s age

Formaldehyde

Longer exposure or higher doses can cause coughing or choking, and even cancer. Severe exposure can cause death from throat swelling or from chemical burns to the lungs. Direct contact with the skin, eyes, or gastrointestinal tract can cause serious burns.

Benzene

Long-term exposure, or exposure of a year or more, to benzene can affect the blood. Benzene causes harmful effects on bone marrow and can cause a decrease in red blood cells, leading to anemia. It can also cause excessive bleeding and affect the immune system, increasing the chance for infection. It also increases the chance of cancer.
